With the most snow in Colorado, the Pagosa Springs area boasts great powder and a long winter season to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. For family-fun downhill skiing, Wolf Creek Ski area is only 30 minutes away. Wolf Creek hosts an average of 465 inches of snow a year, so many times the season begins at Halloween and ends in April. It is not uncommon for the snow base to exceed 100 inches!
