Whether your passion is fly fishing along a rushing mountain river or sitting back in your boat bass fishing, Pagosa Springs is the place for quality fishing. Pagosa Lakes features five stocked lakes with bass, trout, and crappie. Boats are allowed on the lake, but no internal combustion engine-powered boats are allowed. Echo Lake is just South of town and offers great trout and bass fishing. 30 minutes from Pagosa Springs is Navajo State Park. At Navajo you can fish for record-size northern pike or catfish as well as large and small mouth bass in open waters without crowds.

If your love is fly fishing, quality choices abound. From the gold metal quality waters of the San Juan River... to the Piedra River north of town.... to the Rio Grande River, the Pagosa Springs area is a fishermen's paradise.
